Crash Kills One Person, Injures Another

January 9, 2006

An accident on Indianapolis' north side Friday afternoon, September 23, claimed the life of one person and sent another to the hospital.

It happened at about 1 p.m. at the intersection of 84th Street and College Avenue.

Investigators said that Simon Urawo, 36, was traveling northbound on College when he struck Suzanne Smith, who was westbound on 84th.

Police said that Smith apparently ran the stop sign. Both victims were taken to Methodist Hospital.

Suzanne Smith was pronounced dead a short time after arrival.
