Drunk Driver's Wife Dies In Accident

A Far Rockaway man driving drunk in Queens slammed into a telephone pole late Friday, September 23, fatally injuring his wife, who was in the front seat, police said.

Edward Bain, 39, was driving near 525 Cross Bay Blvd. when he lost control of his white Lexus sedan around 9:25 p.m. and hit the pole, police said.

His wife, Donna Bain, 36, was killed on impact.

Police charged Edward Bain with driving while intoxicated.
