Elderly Woman Hurt After Car Goes Airborne, Lands On Roof

A 77-year-old woman was pulled from her car after it flew through the air and landed on its roof on Van Buren Road, Camillus police said.
An investigation is continuing into what caused Shirley V. Hauswirth, 77, of Camillus, to veer to the right about 3 p.m., go into a ditch and strike a driveway embankment, said Sgt. Jim Whelan. Hauswirth was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center with minor injuries, Whelan said.
