Fatal Crash

80-year old Robert O'Brien of the City of Tonawanda is dead after being thrown from a car in which he was a passenger. The accident happened Saturday afternoon on North Irish Hill Road in Ellicottville.

Cattaraugus County Sheriff's spokesmen say the car was driven by 53-year old Robert Kirst of Buffalo. Robert Kirst apparently lost control of the vehicle, crossed the center line, careened into a ditch and rolled over.

Robert Kirst and another passenger suffered minor injuries and were taken to Ellicottville Medical Center for treatment.
