Hit And Run Van Slams 79-year-old Man

A 79-year-old Brooklyn man was struck by a hit-and-run driver yesterday while crossing a Borough Park street, police said.
The man, who was trying to catch a bus, was running against a red light at 60th Street and 18th Avenue at about 7:30 p.m. when a blue Dodge minivan hit him.
The vehicle sped away, leaving behind a broken left side-view mirror.
The unidentified victim was taken to Lutheran Hospital in stable condition.
