A Queens teenager is reportedly clinging to life today after being hit by a hit-and-run driver while walking to school yesterday morning, October 26.
According to the police report, Jeffrey Javier, 15-year-old student of John Adams High School in Ozone Park, was crossing Rockaway Boulevard at 101st Street around 8:30 a.m. Wednesday when he was hit by a gray Chevy Corisca traveling southbound on 101st Street.
Julie Deleo, 47, an eyewitness told cops the driver of a gray Chevrolet Corsica stopped the car after the initial impact knocked Javier to the ground, then ran over the boy's body while fleeing the scene, police said.
Jeffrey Javier was taken to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition.
There have been no arrests and an investigation is ongoing.
