Six People Injured By Reckless SUV Driver

December 29, 2005

A car accident in New York's Times Square yesterday left six pedestrians injured and Damon Dash's Mercedes-Benz smashed.

On Tuesday at around 2:30 p.m., an argument erupted between two drivers on Broadway, just north of West 40th Street.

When a nearby police officer approached the SUV to ask for identification, a glassine envelope full of white powder (which police believe may have been cocaine) fell out of the car.

The driver, Hugo Palomino, sped away down Broadway dragging the officer, who was hanging from the window of the car, along with him.

The fleeing car hit an armored car, smashed Damon Dash's Mercedes-Benz and injured six pedestrians.

Palomino was charged with drug possession, leaving the scene of an accident, and assault.
