Injury Award For NJ Nurse Upheld By Court

An award granted by a worker's compensation judge in Simons v. Visiting Nurse Assn. (#39-2-1875 App. Div.) was upheld on appeal. The petitioner, a visiting nurse with respondent, was injured in an automobile accident that occurred as she was pulling into a client's driveway. After reviewing the trial testimony regarding her injuries and treatment, the appellate panel affirmed the compensation judge's award in all respects, with the limited exception that, on respondent's appeal, it reversed with respect to the award of psychiatric disability.
