SUV Hits Man On Upper West Side

A 54-year-old man was critically injured after he was struck by an SUV on the Upper West Side, police sources said.
The man, whose name was withheld pending family notification, was crossing West 95th Street in a pouring rain just before 9 p.m., when he was hit by a 2004 Volkswagen SUV making a left turn from West End Avenue.
He was rushed to St. Luke's Hospital with severe head injuries.
The driver - who remained at the scene - was not charged.
