Van Flips, One Injured

A van carrying 15 people, many of them children, flipped over on Interstate 87 at the southbound exit to the Thruway near Colonie, injuring one passenger, State Police said.
The vehicle went off the road and flipped three times, coming to land on it side. None of the children on board were seriously injured in the 7:30 p.m. wreck, troopers said, but an adult passenger was treated at a local hospital for serious injuries. The passenger and several children were taken to Albany area hospitals for treatment or observation. The van was reportedly on its way to Brooklyn from Montreal.
